Ben Furneaux

Based in Dubai, Ben Furneaux is the Senior Director and Board Member of Cigna Insurance Management Services, Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). In his capacity, Ben is responsible for building new strategic opportunities for Cigna across international markets in the Middle East region.

Ben has held multiple leadership positions globally, including Dubai, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Vietnam. This included the role of Head of Affordability at Cigna, which concentrated on delivering greater value to Cigna’s clients across the healthcare value chain, the development of a global data strategy to develop better customer experiences while delivering greater affordability. An enthusiast of using data and technology, Ben is committed to creating optimal customer experiences by incorporating technology throughout the customer journey at Cigna.

He has also held the positions of Chief Marketing Officer, Head of Health, IT Director, and Innovation for Cigna Indonesia; and the Head of Strategy for Cigna International Markets based out of Hong Kong where he concentrated on Mergers & Acquisitions, joint venture and partnership development, corporate strategy, and growth of bancassurance capabilities. His experience in developing sustainable joint ventures, partnerships, and privatization bring a unique perspective on making PPPs more successful and sustainable.

Prior to joining Cigna, Ben was with HSBC Insurance in their Singapore Life and General insurance business, Vietnam in their strategic partnership with BaoViet and in Hong Kong in APAC strategy planning and deployment.

Ben has completed his Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Finance from the University of Central Missouri.
