Rob Peat

Based in Dubai, Robert Peat is Chief Financial Officer of Cigna Healthcare International Markets where he is responsible for all financial matters with a focus on delivering sustainable growth.

Robert has devoted more than 20 years of his career to mission of Cigna Healthcare to improve the wellbeing of its customers all over the world by managing the actuarial science of insurance products and benefits before moving into broader financial management. 

Before his appointment as Chief Financial Officer in 2020, Robert was Business Finance Managing Director for International Markets in Hong Kong, following roles as Chief Financial Officer for Europe, Middle East and Africa and Chief Financial Officer for Asia-Pacific.

Robert started his career at Cigna in a series of actuarial roles in the United States culminating as Chief Actuary for Global Health Benefits.

Robert studied Actuarial Mathematics and Statistics at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh and was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree before further studies in Actuarial Science at the University of Waterloo in Ontario. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
