    Regulated by the Capital Markets Authority (CMA), the Unified Health Insurance Policy (UHIP), also known as Dhamani, is a mandatory health insurance plan rolled out by the government in 2019 for expatriate and local workers employed in the private sector.

    As per the law in Oman, all private sector employees must obtain this health insurance policy through authorised providers. It offers coverage for them, as well as their spouses and any children under the age of 21, and all employers are mandated to pay for the premiums for these policies.
